While I’d very much hoped to be open this summer, by the time we complete the cottage, furnish it, and run it through it’s paces, it will be well-passed September 1. Once our windows finally arrived, that cleared our path to march ahead (mostly) undeterred by global supply chain disruptions and labor shortages. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-ins immediately followed, then insulation and flooring, and now Caleb and Brennan are far along with our interiors. On Monday, all of our doors and some of our cabinets will arrive by trailer from an old friend’s shop in Awendaw. After our crew finishes with the interior trim, they’ll turn their attention to the exterior and hand the inside over to the painters. Tile, cabinet installation, countertops, fixtures, appliances; we have a bunch remaining, but it’s all coming together. More pictures here.
