Generally speaking, Big Ridge Mountain Club is not available for rent. It’s a members-only club and (near as I can tell) it has a unique structure. So, despite there being a zillion reservation platforms out there, none of them worked for us and we’ve been handling things more or less manually since our launch. This was no big deal with only a handful of members, but once we reached about two handfuls of members, our shared google sheet started to show signs of strain.

So we built our own platform! I’m calling it the Bespoke Big Ridge Reservation Platform™, or BBRRP for short. It’s pronounced BUH-burp. I can’t roll my Rs, but if you can, I encourage you to pronounce it with an alveolar trill.

At present, the calendar is visible to anyone, but I expect to gate it shortly (also on my to-do list is to move all the Big Ridge Mountain Club content over to bigridge.club and leave graham.dev for general stuff about my various professional ventures).

Some technical commentary: I was introduced to No-Code via one of my advisees who has built his vertical SaaS platform on Bubble.io. I’ve been so impressed with it, I decided to give it a try for BBRRP. Many thanks to Josh of Nexrad Media for quickly turning my scope into a reality. Josh began working on BBRRP around Thanksgiving and, despite the disruptions of the holiday season, he was largely complete in the first week of January.

P.S. Wendy, Alex, and Rhea also deserve some recognition; they were instrumental in helping us refine the UI and debugging.

P.P.S. If you have a membership business that resembles Big Ridge Mountain Club and you would like to license this platform, I’d be delighted to speak with you about that.
