It is taking a bit longer than I expected to complete the Spring Cottage, which means it definitely won’t be open this summer. I find myself repeatedly quoting Mae West: “Anything worth doing is worth doing slowly.”

While we won’t open our doors until September, our pasture and the Writer’s Hut are officially open to campers. Our big, freshly erected canvas tent comfortably sleeps four. The Writer’s Hut comfortably sleeps one, but two can squeeze in. And there are plenty of great tent sites for extra campers.

Friends have already reserved a handful of weekends in June and July. Please let me know if you’d like to visit, and we’ll set aside that time just for you.

Thanks to Dave Payne and his family for these two pictures. More Big Ridge images here, including recent construction pics.
